It was just another work day for Mr. Kennedy, like usual. Today he actually had to do something, it was surprising, but he'd had to come in and practice a little before tonight. Dressed in a white t-shirt with a grey vest over the top and black jeans, nothing too fancy, after all it was just practice. After a quick mic check and getting everything in order, he started off one of his favorite songs.
"Well it's 4 AM and it seems to me Tonight’s not going down in history But I'll tell you something honey It's always better when I'm with you "
Continuing the song, he really hoped he was up to par. He hadn't sung for a few days so he needed to get in some practice before he could sing tonight in front of all the teens that would be showing up. Of course he wasn't famous or anything so he really shouldn't worry about anything. But still he really did get nervous before any set he did. He didn't know what it was about performing, he loved it but on the other hand he always was scared and fidgety before the actual performance. Right now he was fine, there wasn't that many people in here so he was just cool with people. He could fool around and joke a little with some of the crew.
Running a hand through his messy black hair as he got a moment to breath during the break in the song. He loved this song, he smiled a little as he walked around the stage, he preferred moving around a little while he sang it made him feel like he was less in the spotlight.
It's always better when I'm with you It's always better when I'm with you It's always better when I'm with you Tonight I just don't want to say goodbye to you I just don't want to say it's over to get me through tonight [/i] It was close to the end of the song, he was kind of glad, he could use a drink before he practiced anymore. Geez, now he was really wishing he had done a quick warm up. But his singing coach had never done warm ups with him, he had no idea why. Most of the time Cash had to do them on his own just to get his voice sounding the best it could before he sang. Tonight I just don't want to say goodbye to you I just don't want to say it's over to get me through Tonight, tonight, tonight you're part of me Tonight you're part of me Tonight you're part of You're part of me Finishing the song, he smiled a little, he thought it had been a good run through. Grabbing his bottle of water and setting the mic back on the stand, he took a deep breath and then took sip of his water. [/size][/blockquote]

" fake it if your running out of direction " " I guess I should actually do something today..." the blonde groaned as she touched up her makeup. It was the truth, she hadn't done too much while she was here, other than going out to the pool, and tanning. But that couldn't hold ones' attention for too long. All Kenzie wanted to do is something new, and being the outgoing girl that she was, she was in need for it. It was almost as if this was a waste of her time, even though she was working here, she should take advantage of it, it was a cruise.
Kenzie had just been so side tracked with her mom home alone, and her sister out to college. She was worried about her mom being alone, she never was good about being alone, well after her dad passing away, she had been alone for a while. Kenzie has been trying to keep in touch with her while she was on the ship, but it's hard to call everyday. Kenzie had decided that she would sneak a drink at the juice bar, in the great white. She just wanted to let loose, have some fun, and enjoy her stay on the ship. After all, it was her night off.
The blonde walked out of her cabin, wearing a yellow strapless shirt and a pair of faded blue jeans that hugged every curve on her body. Her shoes were just regular black heels, they killed her feet, but she would have to get used to them anyway. Her makeup was just fine, black eyeliner, black mascara, and a little blush... nothing more. She didn't like putting on loads of makeup, it was just a waste of time, something she just didn't need to do. Her hair was down, straight with random curls in it, complementary of her hair straightener and curling iron.
Kenzie made it into the great white, not seeing too many people there at the moment. At least she beat the crowd, she wouldn't want to wait in any line or anything. She let a sigh come out of her mouth as she looked around, she heard someone singing and turned to see who it was. She found a seat at the bar, and continued to watch, out of pure curiousity. The guy was pretty good, he could possibly top her, though she wouldn't admit it. After a few minutes, he finished and set the mic on the stand. She smiled, getting up and walking over to the stage, seeing it was pretty close to where she was sitting. " that was pretty good. " she said, leaning her hands on the stage, " i thought i should tell you, maybe so you could get a little encouragement till the rest of the people came in." she told him, with a friendly smile on her face. If she was up there, she would like some encouragement, seeing that she was always nervous, so maybe he was.

Cash kind of wished he had the rest of his family here, his brothers were quite an amazing team with him. It always felt more comforting to be on stage. After all there were only so many jokes you could say to the audience before you got the vibe that they wanted you to do the last song and be done with it. Fortunately he had yet to get any of those bad vibes from any audience he had. Most of the time he left the stage on his own free will, though there were a few times where a few people had told him that his set needed to wrap up soon so more acts could follow or something like that.
He smiled at she complimented his singing, it was always nice to get encouragement. It always made him feel less nervous whenever he looked back on what people had said about him before. It made him feel more competent of what he would be doing. "Thanks." Taking another sip of water, he set the bottle back down on the stage and asked,"You enjoying the cruise so far?" He hadn't seen her around, he had no idea if she was someone from the crew or a passenger, but he assumed she was a passenger. Cash had yet to meet that many employees while on board the ship. Perhaps it was because his job didn't require that much assistance or whatever, but he had only met one other employee he had actually befriended.
Just that sentence of encouragement made him feel a lot better. Replaying the sentence in his head, he couldn't help but smile. It was so nice to get good feedback, especially from somebody personally instead of from an employee who had heard people talking about his act. "I'm Cash by the way." He figured he might as well be polite and introduce himself to the pretty girl in front of him, it was the least he could do after she had give him that amazing compliment.

" fake it if your running out of direction " Kenzie nodded as he told her thanks, " Anytime." she told him, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. She always seemed to be touching her hair, it was a habbit, though she never really noticed that she did it. Most of her habbits were normal, but some were slightly odd, but she really didn't care. If someone was going to judge her off of them, then they weren't worth getting known by her. Kenzie has always hated those stuck up, snobby type of people that thought that everything in the world revolved around them, so not her.
Miss Sykes watched him take a drink of his water and thought for a second about his question. Was she really having a good time on the cruise ? She shrugged, scratching the side of her head, " Eh, I suppose so. I don't know, I haven't done too much yet." she started, " If I had someone here with me that I knew, It would have been more fun, you know?" she finished, moving her hands back down to her side. If only her sister was here with her, they would have a blast together, not to mention the insane parties that they would be having. Her sister, Miami, was always the life of the party, and always brought a smile to Kenzie's face. She was just so friendly and nice, sometimes Kenzie couldn't even believe it.
Kenzie looked at the guy again, actually, looking up. He seemed like a nice person, though she wouldn't have known if he would have approached her if she was just standing there. She knew the only reason that they were talking is because she brought the initiative to talk to him, but she didn't know that exactly. She had always thought that she wasn't good enough, probably because she was always pressured to be better than she actually was, and it was tons of pressure on her, especially after her dad died. Her mind snapped back into reality when he told her his name, " Cash ? Thats an interesting name..." Kenzie answered with a smile, " Im Kenzie." she told him with a nod, " Not as cool as your name, but I'll deal." she said with a laugh.

Getting down off the stage, he stood next to her. As much as he liked being on stage if he was talking to somebody personally he preferred to be at the same level at them. There was a huge difference between him on stage and him off stage. Cash was much more professional on stage unlike him off stage where he liked to goof off and have fun and just relax and talk. Sure Cash talked on stage but when he did it was either to a tech or to the crowd, he preferred a one-on-one conversation off stage just because it would be more personal.
"Its a pretty big ship, you can always find something interesting to do around here if you look hard enough." He hadn't been on here long enough to find out everything to do on the ship, but it was always fun to find out new things to do. Cash nodded in agreement with her. "Yeah I know what you mean, its always nice to have somebody you know with you." He somewhat wished he had his brothers with him, they would make things a lot better. As much as he thought they were annoying sometimes, he still loved having them with him. They could always help him get into havoc no matter where they went. Even if it was just out of curiosity or whether they were actually looking for fun and 'accidentally' broke the rules while doing so. He could just imagine his brothers having a blast on the ship, it would be great fun with them here.
"Thanks, yeah my parents wanted an original name." Out of his brothers, he had the most unique name of them. Though he had to admit his brothers had names that weren't heard every day either. Cash liked his name, not only because people would remember him better but not everybody had it. "Nice to meet you Kenzie, that's a pretty name. I like it."
